Actually I was being serious. It's a lot of work to do the belt and if it were me I'd consider running without the belt. My 944 turbo has the shafts in place but no belt. For a track car the balance shafts are definitely unnecessary. For a street car which sits at constant RPMs it might be a different story, but I don't think it would be that annoying. I'd research that though.....
