Thanks for reply Larry,
I have to give you some details first.
I replaced my filter with a K&N cold air intake. I changed out my intake system three different times, different cars. I do not remember if wire should be detached.
I recently had ignition coils replaced, all six. Oil separator replaced as well. Car was leaking coolant big time.. Since repair, engine light has come on. I decided to investigate for loose filter and found wire detached. So, wire isn't in place as originally installed as stock.
I can explain description of wire as; Y shape. One side attached to air intake housing or throttle body, upper right corner. Plug is sort of flat. Other side of Y shape wire is detached. It has plug that is able to grip with fingers to connect and unplug. I'm not able to provide pics as of yet. I hope description helps. I haven't contacted repair facility as I am hoping to fix on my own. Hope you are able to help with advice..
