You write as if America has never had any entitlements. The war on poverty is as fruitless as the war on drugs.
Redistribution of wealth leads to the destruction of wealth.
Quote:What is it about a 14 year old kid, who is diagonosed with leukemia shortly after her father's company is downsized that leads you to believe that she should die because neither she nor her father is a producer?
What is it about a 35 year old star employee of a major corporation that gives her hc benefits that cap at 100K a year that makes you believe that she should die when she needs health care that cost 200K per year? Maybe she should have read the fine print in her insurance contract.
These are the kind of people hc reform is designed to protect, not the deadbeats who don't want to work. They already get free health care.
As I have said in previous posts, I do not take issue with people who disagree with wealth redistribution, but you should be consistently against public schools, libraries, parks, SSI, medicade, medicare, etc.
Don't get me wrong, there are many wealth redistribution programs that are overfunded or unnecessary: Ex. $700 billion annually on the military when one of our many nuclear submarines makes us the most powerful nation in the world. How many matches do we need to light the gasoline?
