I have plastic, however, VP has a new deal---free, metal, 5 gal fuel jugs with purchase of C11 & C12 fuel. The per gallon price is the same for 5 gal as 55 gallon so there's really no catch (except that VP cost more than Sunoco to begin with).

As a bonus, there is an unlimited shelf life until the can is opened.
