I mean, a room full of people with varying degrees of hearing damage inflicted by years of loud exhausts, who really want to socialize and converse with their fellow members is not conducive to overly loud music. I couldn't even hear what people were saying and it got pretty frustrating.

Could we possible have a nice quiet Jazz combo next year?

Other than that minor annoyance, the event was first class, and the organizers deserve much praise.
