I have an update on the SSL connection status from the folks at motorsportreg...  They indicated that a secure SSL connection is optional for all interactions on motorsportreg.com.

In other words, if you use an https:// address to enter the site, it stays an SSL connection throughout your entire session.  Also, you can manually switch to an https:// connection at anytime, and it will continue in that mode.  The only area where the system doesn't work quite right is when attempting an SSL connection to our RTR specific start page.  If you point your browser to https://rtr-pca.motorsportreg.com, you get a certificate warning as the name on their certificate is "motorsportreg.com", not "rtr-pca.motorsportreg.com".  If you click continue, you are directed to the main motorsportreg start page, not our RTR specific start page.   I've asked them if that can be addressed.

So, if you are uncomfortable entering your personal data over an http:// connection, please enter the site with an https:// address.

I will ensure the links we provide on our website are of the https:// variety.

Take care,
Jack
