Larry, I did it that way for 2 or 3 years. You don't need a special rack - just 2 regular Thule or other racks, with the tires vertical (the Phillips method) or horizontal (my preferred approach). Call me for details if you want. You will definitely look like Ralph the Racer, but there is some work involved in setting up and reconfiguring each time.
