Using the SCCA handicap system was my original thought as well... but that one is pretty complicated and confusing as it is... I'll get to work on figuring it out.

The SCCA PAX system does not have enough precision.  Except for old 356 models and newer (993 & up) & turbos, every stock 911 is one class (same PPF).

Also does not account for tires.  You can bring bubble gum tires and have the same PAX (PPF).

V is right. Porsches are bunched up in one class or two. You have to look at large PCA regions and see what they have done. NNJR has kept AX results from many years, so they have worked out their own PAX based on many factors. I believe that we have an event planned to join them this season at the New Jersey Giant's stadium. I would like to see a,comparison of our results with our PPF as well as NNJR's system and see if the RTR group ranking fall in the same order.

It is pretty simple, and leaves a lot of room for improvement of one's car without changing classes.

Wow! finally someone actually looked up the NNJR PAX. I did not want to look like the drug pusher, but this is what I have been preaching for in the last 2 years. Their PAX works........ unless one is a terrible driver that needs SEAT TIME to get better.
In my first AX a few years ago, I DNF'd all my runs. So, if I could do it, anyone can.

I actually like the idea of a very simple pax system. In the off-season this winter, we should all get together and discuss all of these ideas.

.985 I fall into the modified but street legal class MO2. What is yours? Arena's?.......everyone else?

Figure out Hershey's event with NNJR rules and see where we all fall in comparison.

OK, help me out.  Looks like my 1987 911 3.2 with modifications falls into the P3 class. Above Showroom stock, but below Improved.  I don't see any P PAX.  What's my PAX?

V, I believe that you would fall in the S4 category, not SS, whose PAX IS .922. to be competitive, you would want to do the maximum what is allowed in he class and use the best tire possible allowed.
