I've found a bunch of options regarding luggage carriers and tire toters. The clamshell options look nice, but would be difficult to get four track wheels inside. They are also very pricey. Egg, champion, Ion, Trekker are all similar in size and cost between $1500 to $2000. Trailex makes two really cool options (Tire Toter and Trailgaiter). The tire Toter is aluminum, has a lockable rack for your wheels, and large bed to bolt on a tool box. If I could find one used, that's what I'd do. The trailgater can be configured with a tire rack in front of the storage bin.
However, I think the best bang for the buck would be to get a Harbor Freight trailer ($275), pay someone to weld on a tow hitch reciever so that I could insert a Tiretail tire rack($130) (http://www.izoomgraphics.com/index.php?m...ex&cPath=4) and then bolt on a tool box ($50). Only downside is that titling and registering a "home made trailer" is a PITA in Pennsylvania (I think it costs $150 and you have to wait like 5-8 weeks for tags). Maybe going with a new one from Trailex makes sense just to avoid all the hastle.

On the road in no time (same day) once you take the title to the Motor vehicle location. Graham,
You may want to mention that the monthly May Meeting at Knopf's will also feature a representative from All Pro West Trailer Superstore. Maybe he can bring one down for club members to look at. Maybe at a special deal ???

Quote:Graham, Great reminder George. I will start the monthly meeting thread shortly but George is right to point out that we have lined up a trailer demo at the Knopf Automotive monthly meeting this month. Steve Smith of All Pro West Trailer Superstore will be bringing two trailers as demo's (one enclosed and one open and now perhaps one 4x4) to Knopf on May 28th for the monthly meeting. Special pricing may apply!! Scott Smith lang=0 style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffffff" All Pro West Trailer Superstore http://www.allprowest.com/ See my official post coming shortly... Nice guys! Though I will say that the right hander (ug, I don't know the names yet -- are they calling that the corkscrew?) before the left before the big straight.....if he took that all the way tight, you'd have a much more difficult time passing him!!!
The problem is the crown there (as in most of the track) and sometimes in tight keeps you on camber even though it's not the ideal line. You both are driving great though!! Glen I caught your other video on Youtube that you should post, nice work!! |
