Steve,

Great AutoX presentation at Specialty Cars in Allentown.   25 people showed!! Who would've thunk!  Learned a lot.

Thanks to Dave and Mark of Specialty cars for putting on a nice shin-dig, and to Steve & V for organizing.  We learned the basics of AutoX'g, the line, importance of walking the course (track) multiple times, prep before the event, tire pressures and probably one of the most important rules of both AutoX and DE (track events) is to look ahead.  There is nothing you can do about the cone next to you or the apex you just missed, so look ahead and get planning for the next two or three turns.

Thanks again to all involved.

See ya'll soon.

-Graham

Thank you to everyone involved for a great weekend.  Dave Newman's class was extremely helpful and I did much better than I expected at the autocross today.   Everytime I reminded myself to look further ahead I got faster and smoother.

Steve and V, thanks for all the work you guys do to coordinate this stuff.  Now I have to lobby with my wife to get more autocrosses in this year.

AX class on Saturday - using what we learned on Sunday. Priceless.

A good way to waste a weekend. Thanks to everyone for putting together a great AX weekend!

Well I don't know about you guys but I was pooped yesterday after a fantastic fun-filled start to the RTR AX season!

At our AX classroom at Sat am, we got 25/26 attendees who watched and listened to a really enjoyable presentation by Dave Newman entitled 'an Introduction to AX' - which included some great videos on what to do and what NOT to do! All Great Stuff! Many thanks to Dave and Mark at Specialty Cars in Allentown for hosting us ... and providing lunch!

On Sunday morning, 12 hardy souls - a record for RTR attended the Philly SCCA AX at Warminster and competed against one another in our very own 'R' class. The weather was much nicer than last year and i woke up with sun burn yet again on a monday morning - will I ever learn?!!?!! Everyone had a great time and many seemed to have caught the AX bug as Vee has received a number of PPF spreadsheets from those interested in doing more AX with us and competing in our just for fun championship.

WRT results, I will post the final times on the forum as soon as they are posted on the Philly SCCA website. However, we will not post our official RTR PAX times (i.e. your best SCCA time x your individual PPF), final positions (which may change compared to SCCA positions) and championship points from Warminster until after the next AX at Hershey. We are doing this so anyone who was unable to join us yesterday but wants to come to Hershey and take part in the championship is able to do so. After Hershey,  we will close new entries into the championship and calc PAX times etc for both events .... although people who are not part of the championship are still able to come to future events!

Our next event is a good one at Hershey with central PCA on 8th June - I will post more info in a couple of weeks! watch the forum for more info!

FYI ...the full schedule for the '2008 RTR AX Roadshow' can be found on the RTR website autocross and then monthly announcement

Cheers Steve & Vee

V,

Who do I thank for the great pictures.  I saw you in many so I assume it wasn't you snapping.

There are usually photographers at every event.  I found these at http://www.phillyscca.com on the solo discussion board.  Check out the other solo (autox) info.

Additionally found this video there if you want to get another driver's view of the course.  No wonder you're tired after four (4) runs!
