Costs half for me to build it, rather than pay a shop to do it. Plus it is built by me to MY standards. When I sell the car I get all my investment back, can most other guys say that "no" because they gave their profit to the shop that built it.

Buy it, and paying to have it serviced = never ever getting your money back

Build it, and working on it yourself = always getting your money back + bragging rights

I will never pay a shop to build or work on my cars.

George,  When you buy a track car you wind up spending lots of dough and rebuilding the car. Who does the work? You or a shop?

David, unfortuately as much as "I" would love to do the work, my skills are not to your level or others with mechanical experience. If I did the work myself, my safety would be at risk. Therefore, I like many others here in the Club, need to pay thru the nose and give it to a shop.
