Several guys on Rennlist are using ATE front rotors, for the Cayenne, on their GT3's.

Front Left Fitment
Price: $130.00 (each)
Estimated Availability: Fewer than 2
Manufacturer Part #: CW34123

Front Right Fitment
Price: $130.00 (each)
Estimated Availability: Fewer than 2
Manufacturer Part #: CW34124

I'm either going to try these or maybe the factory Cayenne S front rotors which have no slots or holes.

Kenny,

This may sound like a lot of work and a PITA, but you could always have a street set of rotors and a track set.... sort of like street and track brake pads.  Those Protosports I mentioned earlier are huge, thick rotors and really absorb the heat well.  And, rotors are an easy swap.   Just my .02 cents.   Smile
.

IIRC, DeMan rotors and Protosports were about the same price, around $300 each or maybe a little more. Stockers were much more, like $500. Maybe you could post what they are all now asking.

What's wrong with $130/rotor Terry?

Nothing except if you want to stop the car.

So you're skeptical that the ATE rotors will work?

Stock @ Suncoast $560/pair

DeMans I believe were about $600/pair when I last checked.

Protosport prices aren't on their website

Girodisc 2-piece $1100+ /pair

Another (more lenient) inspector...about $40

George, actually I had planned to upgrade the brakes, but I want to do it when I'm really ready to take advantage of the upgrade. I plan to try to upgrade the driver first, probably going to BR with Eric and Jack in April. Eventually I will likely go with slotted rotors. Mike Pechstein has mentioned a very good set-up which he has on his cup car.

I have read good things about the ATE Cayenne rotors, but haven't really looked into that angle.

Actually, Darren, I don't know anything about the ATE rotors except I replaced the rotors on our Touareg (I assume the same pieces) and they seemed really heavy. Maybe the power of suggestion.

Yes I have heard they are heavier.  I'll have to buy some and weigh them.
