Attached below is a photo of my friend’s 993 after he rolled it last year at Summit point. I use the term friend loosely but he brings free beer to the track so we let him park with us. In his 993, he had full safety equipment including a DAS bolt in roll bar. If he hadn’t had all of the safety equipment in his car, the consequences of his crash would have been unimaginable. Not only would he have been squished into a bald, flat pancake ….. but more importantly, there would be no more free beer at 5pm when the track closes.

I have just bought a Spec Miata race car with full cage so I am converting my 997 back into a daily driver and selling my DAS bolt in roll bar (compatible for 996 & 997 and includes 2 x Brey Krause seat back braces.

Details: DAS bolt in roll bar for 996-997 (see link to website + more details below); painted semi-black gloss + welded on seat belt guide loops + welded on seat back brace mounting kit + 2 x Brey Krause seat back braces (see link + more details below)

Original price for all was over $1800
Will sell all for $1200 inc 2 x Brey Krause seat back braces
Will deliver within 60 miles of West Chester, PA.

If you can afford a Porsche, you can afford good safety equipment – don’t skimp on important stuff …… and if you have a 996 or 997, here’s your chance to get it even cheaper……

FROM DAS WEBSITE:

996 - 997 Porsche Coupes DAS Sport Bolt-In Roll Bar 1998 to '09
Price:$1,195.00 Weight: 60.00 LBS

Product Description
DESIGN: The bar fits simply in the car's interior without any cutting, drilling, welding or any other modifications to the interior! It mounts to the rear shock upper mountings behind the rear seat backs, the front main hoop mounting plate attaches to the factory front shoulder harness lower mounting. The bar's main hoop hugs the roofline and "b" pillar areas to minimize interior obstructions. The unique "x-brace" reinforcement design provides improved roll over protection without obstructing the driver's view through the back window during everyday use. The x-brace also provides chassis stiffening through its attachment at the rear shock towers.
CONSTRUCTION: features 1-3/4" DOM mild steel tubing, 0.120" wall thickness, tig welded joints and air craft quality hardware. All bars come bare metal and can be painted, powder coated or leather covered by the installer.
INSTALLATION: "Do-it-yourself" friendly. Easy to follow installation instructions with tech support. Estimated time for installation is 4.0 hours.

Brey-Krause seat brace kits are designed to extend the support of your roll cage to the back of your seat. Mounting brackets are available for bolt-on or weld-on installations. Seat Brace Mounting Kits are available to fit adapter tabs on specific models of Brey-Krause harness mount bars. Mounting and adapter brackets are purchased separately from the seat braces to fit your specific installation.

Three questions:

1. What's the nanny look like who drives the Jeep?

2. Will she deliver the parts?

3.You have a friend?
