Steering shaft slipped right into the u-joint. Smile

The shaft needs to ride higher in the joint because of the rack spacers.

Jiggled and wiggled a little bit, turned the wheel lock to lock so everything can find its( new) natural resting place with no binding .

        
 The space for the bolt is now about 1/4  to high in the joint  I had to file the shaft .
That didnt take 5min....Sad

.....Now on to the A-arms !

....nothing going on but the  cleaning and painting of the old stuff.

 A good way to fill time wile waiting for another box of goodies....
