Here's a little clip of a save that I made in turn 1 in the Enduro at Road Atlanta. I have watched it several times, and I still am not exactly sure what I did with my hands, or how I turned the wheel that fast. All I can say is that I was ahead of the car, and caught the slide the instant I felt it go.
For all of you novices out there, that is why you need to learn car control. Get lots of time on a skid pad or autocrossing, because your brain subconsciously has to figure out the dynamics of what to do to stop the car from sliding. Lots of DEs do not necessarily teach you this.
