hi darren!

those were the Z211 fully treaded leftover hankooks; only 225 width (245 is my preferred size). i overworked them, and they overheated. even after our cooldown lap, and waiting for traffic in the paddock, the fronts were at 43 psi when i checked them!!!! way overinflated and overheated.....

lack of an LSD really heats them up, too.

and darren, great job getting down into the 1:30s! see you at VIR in a month??? Smile

Hi Jack,

Confusedhock:When they reach that point they are a handful.  I had a similar sensation (S-04)having to pedal the car thru the es's at WGI for my final event there last year.  I then ran the tires 10 minutes at Pocono and corded them.

what I wanted to mention is, have you ever tried some of the tire preparations (i.e Formula V).  If you have an older set of tires with some meat on them, It does a nice job of reviving the original stick.  The down side is the products are made up heavily of mineral distillates and they stink, so you don't want them in your house or tow vehicle.

Hey Todd:

Isn't Ian giving you his leftovers? I am sure the freight from New Mexico would make that a winning proposition. Big Grin

I thought that's how you know you are online there? The funny thing is the Ed K is FULL track left if he is behind certain people in T3...hehe...I hit the rocks one lap and was like "oops" and looked in the mirror and saw him way over there, cracked me up.

Ask Ed about the dust smoke screen I laid out for him in T2 Smile

Also, if you drive a little closer, the stones hit the bottom of the car and don't scratch the paint.
